We believe that this is best achieved by: 1) defining a business process that can meet the desired goals of the organization while making efficient use of information technology, 2) defining a plan for implementing the system that’s understood and agreed upon by all of the key stakeholders, 3) identifying and following a sound implementation process that’s based on a good practice, 4) defining a plan for supporting the application up front during the planning phase of the project, and 5) implementing both the end user and IT support processes and procedures as part of the project so that the business can properly utilize the solution to meet their needs, and the IT department will be ready to support the system once it's live in production.
